Winter Street Concert Series to Feature Lauren Crosby and Kat Logan

The Winter Street Center in Bath has announced the next in its all-acoustic concert series, with back-to-back performances on Thursday, December 19, by Kat Logan and Lauren Crosby. Winter Street Center is located at 880 Washington Street, directly across from Library Park in downtown Bath. Doors will open at 6:30, with music starting at 7:00 PM. Admission is by suggested minimum donation of $15. Seating is limited and there are no advance reservations, so the Center recommends arriving early. The concert series is raising funds for the restoration of the main chapel of the historic Winter Street Church.

Lauren Crosby is well-known locally as both a musician and proprietress of OystHERS Raw Bar and Bubbly next to Waterfront Park on Commercial Street. Raised on the water as the daughter of a lobsterman, Lauren started performing as a teenager and has shared the stage with many well-known artists, including Jonathan Edwards, Drake White, Assembly of Dust, Shawn Mullins, and LISSIE, among others. Her music ranges from folk to classic rock and vintage western, while her songwriting draws on adventures from wide ranging travels that have included living for periods in Memphis, Albuquerque, California, Alaska, Thailand, and even a stint teaching English in Korea. She is currently recording her third CD at Expanding Sky Studios in the Fort Andross Mill. More information about Lauren and her music is available at https://www.lauren-crosby.com/.

Grammy-nominated Kat Logan has been performing throughout Maine and New England for more than 30 years. In addition to having a stunningly pure alto voice, she is a multi-instrumentalist, equally at home on the piano, guitar, and accordion. Her musical influences include folk, Celtic, blues, and Americana. She has performed with a virtual who’s who of local and regional stars and currently serves as the musical director at Popham Chapel where she has created the Popham Chapel Summer music series with weekly concerts throughout the Summer. Her performance on December 19 will feature a selection of her original works along with some holiday-inspired pieces. For more information about her music and art see www.katlogan.com.
